The purpose of the Journal is to publish the results of scientific research on modern problems of preventive toxicology, clinical toxicology, toxic properties of chemicals and methods of their study and control, problems of regulatory and legal regulation in the specified field in the specialties I2 Medicine and E1 Biology.
This goal defines the main tasks:
- to promote the creation of an open scientific and information space that ensures interdisciplinary interaction between leading scientists, clinicians, risk assessment experts and young scientists in order to solve current problems of preventive and clinical toxicology;
- to ensure the publication of the results of fundamental and applied research on the toxic properties of chemicals, mechanisms of their action on the human body and the environment, toxicokinetics and toxicodynamics, biomarkers of exposure and effect;
- to disseminate modern methodological approaches to experimental research, laboratory diagnostics, clinical management of intoxications, antidote therapy and rehabilitation of victims;
- to promote the improvement of regulatory and legal regulation in the field of chemical safety, toxicological supervision, state control and harmonization of national legislation with international standards;
- to provide scientific support for the development of biotechnology, molecular biology, alternative testing methods (in vitro, in silico), GLP principles and modern approaches to research standardization;
- to form a discussion platform for discussing complex aspects of experimental and clinical toxicology, in particular new or insufficiently studied toxic agents;
- to promote the implementation of the principles of evidence-based medicine, academic integrity and international standards of publication ethics;
- to support the publication of the main results of dissertation research by applicants for scientific degrees and applicants for academic titles in the specialties I2 Medicine and E1 Biology;
- to ensure the integration of Ukrainian toxicological science into the international scientific space by developing cooperation with foreign authors, reviewers and scientific institutions.
